I’m sitting wearing a jumper and looking out at a grey sky, just wishing that I could be back in Spain. I hate the feeling that you get when you come back from a lovely holiday and don’t want to go back to the normality of everyday life. If only I could spend all my days walking along the beach in the sun, having coffee at a little café and spending my evenings eating paella and tapas.
This is the outfit that I wore when we went into Denia for the day to do a little shopping. I picked up this cute little dress in H&M from their Cochella range. I was drawn to it because I like the cold shoulder trend but mostly it was the cute little elephant print along the bottom.
If you haven’t been to Denia before then I recommend that you check it out if you’re nearby. The town is on the east coast of Spain, between Alicante and Valencia. I love walking up the main tree lined street in the town and visiting the shops which include; Druni, great for picking up cosmetics that you can’t find in the UK, Ale-Hop, for picking up things like headphones, chargers or a cheap hat for your holidays and Mango, who I always think have the best jeans. If you come away from the main street you can find lots of other little local shops and boutiques which all seem to have amazing items. Towards the back of the town is the castle which was built in the 11th centuary and is definitely worth a little look. After we had done some shopping we settled down to a coffee and some amazing pastries in L’Albironda. I should really have taken some pictures of them but they were just too good that I only thought about a picture half way through eating it!
I’ll have another little post up about my holiday toward the end of the week! Have you been to Denia? If you have, what did you think of it? Is there anywhere in Spain that you think I should check out next time?
