OOTD – Graduation

It’s hard to believe that I graduated almost two week ago! My time at university seems to have gone by so quickly and now it’s time to go out into the big wide world and try to find a job. I have to admit that I’m looking forward to getting a job and have another internship lined up for August so I’m hoping that it goes well and gives me some more experience and hopefully some more work to add to my portfolio.

Anyway I thought I’d make this into a little bit of an outfit post to show what I wore to and after my graduation. What I wore to the actual ceremony isn’t overly exciting as it had to be quite formal so I decided to go for a white shirt, black skirt and black heels. At out university we weren’t allowed to wear hats which I was a little disappointed by as I was quite looking forward to wearing one.

Afterward we headed home which gave me a chance to get changed into something a bit nicer before we headed out to the Burnhouse Manor for a lovely post-graduation meal. I love the Burnhouse and if you’re ever near it then I would recommend that you check them out! The have the best afternoon tea, and you can even get the afternoon tea with champagne.

Dress – Tu at Sainsbury

Shoes – Primark

You can’t really see the detail of the shoes in the above pictures, so here’s a nice close up of them. I still can’t believe that I picked them up in Primark for £12! They’re so pretty and I think that they look more expensive than they were.

I just want to say a quick thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway and I’m hoping to be able to announce the winner on Wednesday at the latest 🙂

OOTD – Blues and Black

Last weekend I attended Overgate Shopping Center’s Tweet Chic Event which you can read about here.  Now that I have started to get the hang of using my new camera I’m going to try to post a lot more outfit posts.  Here is what I wore to the event;

Jacket – Tu at Sainsbury’s

Shirt – Primark

Necklace – Primark

High Waisted Jeans – Primark

Watch – DKNY

Bag – Boutique Lou Lou (Moraria; Spain)

Shoes – Primark

I picked up the necklace in Primark as I have seen so many people wearing beautiful statement necklaces, although I have to admit that I’m not a brave a some and decided to go for this little one.  I love this bag which I bought on holiday last year and really like the fact that I don’t see anyone walking about with the same bag.

Dundee is such a beautiful city and the architecture if some of the buildings is just amazing.  I think if I had the chance I might actually think about moving up somewhere near there.  If you get the chance to visit Dundee I would check out The Pancake Place which is where we went for some lunch.  The pancakes are so good and I really wish that there was in Glasgow so that I could have pancakes all the time.

Have you ever been to Dundee?  Is there anything that you would recommend that I do next time?
