OOTD – Graduation

It’s hard to believe that I graduated almost two week ago! My time at university seems to have gone by so quickly and now it’s time to go out into the big wide world and try to find a job. I have to admit that I’m looking forward to getting a job and have another internship lined up for August so I’m hoping that it goes well and gives me some more experience and hopefully some more work to add to my portfolio.

Anyway I thought I’d make this into a little bit of an outfit post to show what I wore to and after my graduation. What I wore to the actual ceremony isn’t overly exciting as it had to be quite formal so I decided to go for a white shirt, black skirt and black heels. At out university we weren’t allowed to wear hats which I was a little disappointed by as I was quite looking forward to wearing one.

Afterward we headed home which gave me a chance to get changed into something a bit nicer before we headed out to the Burnhouse Manor for a lovely post-graduation meal. I love the Burnhouse and if you’re ever near it then I would recommend that you check them out! The have the best afternoon tea, and you can even get the afternoon tea with champagne.

Shoes – Primark

You can’t really see the detail of the shoes in the above pictures, so here’s a nice close up of them. I still can’t believe that I picked them up in Primark for £12! They’re so pretty and I think that they look more expensive than they were.

I just want to say a quick thanks to everyone who entered my giveaway and I’m hoping to be able to announce the winner on Wednesday at the latest 🙂

OOTD – Blues and Black

Last weekend I attended Overgate Shopping Center’s Tweet Chic Event which you can read about here.  Now that I have started to get the hang of using my new camera I’m going to try to post a lot more outfit posts.  Here is what I wore to the event;

High Waisted Jeans – Primark

Watch – DKNY

Bag – Boutique Lou Lou (Moraria; Spain)

Shoes – Primark

I picked up the necklace in Primark as I have seen so many people wearing beautiful statement necklaces, although I have to admit that I’m not a brave a some and decided to go for this little one.  I love this bag which I bought on holiday last year and really like the fact that I don’t see anyone walking about with the same bag.

Dundee is such a beautiful city and the architecture if some of the buildings is just amazing.  I think if I had the chance I might actually think about moving up somewhere near there.  If you get the chance to visit Dundee I would check out The Pancake Place which is where we went for some lunch.  The pancakes are so good and I really wish that there was in Glasgow so that I could have pancakes all the time.

Have you ever been to Dundee?  Is there anything that you would recommend that I do next time?

OOTD – Pink Tartan

It’s been a little while since I posted an outfit post, but I have decided that this is going to change in 2015!  I am in love with this coat that I picked up in one of the Marks and Spencer clearance stores and my new Primark boots.  The top and skirt I’ve had for a while but have barely ever been worn – I’m in the habit of buying too much and forgetting about some clothes.  But I love tartan skirts and this is one my favourites out of what I have.  Even though it was super cold outside I loved taking the pictures in the frost and fog.

The Last of the Summer Outfits

I realised the other day that I still had a few outfit posts that I hadn’t posted and thought I would just feature them here since the summer is gone and the heavy coats are on.  I wore the first on in Spain and I love this dress which I picked up a while back in TK Maxx – I find that you can get some really good buys in there.  The second is one I wore in holiday in Scotland when we were up a Lochgoilhead; I love these Doc Martens boots I’ve had them for years and they still look great.  I think if you’re looking for a pair of great boots, buy a pair of Docs!

And now for some pictures of round about where we were staying.

I couldn’t believe how many trees had been cut down in the picture below

This last picture was taken in the evening, in case you’re wondering why it’s not as bright as the others.

So there you have, the last of summer outfits!  I hope you liked them and I can’t wait to show off some autumn/winter ones 🙂

OOTD – Floral Print Playsuit

You can probably tell from previous posts that I love playsuits.  I just think that they are so practical when out and about as you don’t have to worry if it’s windy and I think that this makes them the perfect transitional piece from summer to autumn.  I wore this on holiday on one of the days on were we weren’t doing too much and were just going into a town a few miles down the road.  As this playsuit is black I think it will look great with tights during the autumn and will definitely be wearing it like this during the next couple of months.

OOTD – Pink and Polka Dots

I really like this playsuit which I picked up in Next, I do feel however that it can look a little long if I don’t wear heels with it and the belt to break it up.  I love playsuites and I think that I could probably still get away with this during autumn, although I think it would have to be with natural coloured tights as it might just be a bit too much black with black tights.  I wore this one of the nights that we were going out for dinner on holiday to Tigre Pizzeria in Moraria.  If you ever have the chance to go I really recommend that you try their vegetarian pizza, it was one of the best pizza’s I have had.  I took these picture outside a small church in the town as I just loved the look of the stained glass mosaic style windows.

Bag – Bought on a previous holiday

Shoes – Marks and Spencers

Earrings – Claire’s

OOTD – Bright Skirt

This is one of the outfits that I wore when I was on holiday in Moraira in Spain (it feels so long ago!).  I’m really missing the warm weather and getting to wear nice summery clothes.  Anyway in this is the outfit that I wore the first day I was there.  We didn’t do too much just wandered around the town, went for coffee and chilled by the pool.  I bought this skirt a while back and think it just looks so perfect and summery.

Trying to be all fashion blogger like and pose in the above picture, not entirely sure it works

Really hope that you liked my outfit, would love to know what you think 🙂  I would have linked to all the products/similar ones but nowhere seems to have much summer stuff left!

OOTD – Hearts and Bows

So after my haul I decided that I really had to some more outfit posts.  I find that I have a tendency to forgot to take outfit pictures, sometimes I think “This would make a good blog post” but just forget to take pictures because I have something to do.  So my aim is to remember to take more pictures!

I decided to team this skater skirt which I featured in my haul post with a body which has cute little bow prints on it.  I wanted to make sure that it didn’t seem to dress looking so I paired it with some cute converse that have a pastel heart print on them.  I think that this gives it a slightly more sporty looking vibe which I quite like 🙂

OOTD - Hearts and Bows

As you can see in my first picture my puppy decided she wanted to be a part; so I thought I’d include a picture where she doesn’t look so silly with her ears backwards.

OOTD – Christmas

So this is my first post since before Christmas, so I hope everyone had a lovely time.  I really enjoyed Christmas and love giving people presents.  I feel really lucky that I got so many nice things for Christmas such as my Tassimo machine (I love coffee!), my Mark Hill Curling wand, Fall Out Boy tickets, clothes and more 🙂 I just want to say another wee thank you to everyone that gave me a present.

Anyway this was what I wore.  If you follow me on instagram then you’ll know that I bought these shoes and how much I love them.  Being a bit of small person (5ft 3), I love these shoes as they add so much height but the still manage to remain really comfy and you don’t feel like your going to topple over.

Jeans – Forever 21

Shoes – New Look

My cute hair band that I got 🙂 Love it so much it’s so nice and warm!

Hope you all had a good Christmas and that you got lots of nice thing! 🙂

OOTD – Bats and Peplum

I bought this jumper a few weeks ago, it’s not very Chirstmasy I know but I couldn’t resist!  I love the little bats on it which are made of a pleather type material and the jumper itself is lovely and soft.  I decided to team it with my peplum skirt in order to make the skirt a bit less dress and make it a cute outfit for some Christmas shopping.
