I had been on the lookout for a new eye cream and a product with glycolic acid so decided to try out a couple of the products in Superdrug’s Naturally Radiant range. I had previously tried their hot cloth cleanser which I loved and you can read about here. They were on offer when I picked them up, I think it was buy one get one half price and they’re on offer again as all Superdrug skincare products are currently better than half price.
Naturally Radiant Brightening Eye Cream
This eye cream contains kiwi extracts as vitamin C is known for its brightening properties and mulberry fruit extract which helps to reduce discolouration and even out skin tone. It also has sugar beet extract which is a natural moisturiser. The cream has a thin consistency meaning its lightweight and quickly absorbed into skin. Although I never had prominent dark circles under my eyes I have found that this eye cream has helped reduce any shadows and makes under my eyes look brighter. I definitely recommend giving this a try as it is amazing especially for the price. You can pick it up in Superdrug for £5.99 (it’s currently on offer for £2.95!).
Naturally Radiant Glycolic Overnight Peel
I normally use Rodial Super Acids X-treme Acid Rush Peel but I thought that I’d switch it up and see what Superdrug had to offer. As the name suggest, the overnight peel contains glycolic acid, which is an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid) that helps to exfoliate and improve skins texture leaving your skin looking brighter. Superdrug’s overnight peel works by applying a small amount onto your face, leaving it on overnight and washing off in the morning. I found that it took a little while for the mask to dry in, around 15 minutes so I wouldn’t put it on and go straight to bed. When you wake up in the morning, you can’t feel that you have the mask on which is great as I hate that tight feeling that you get with some face masks. I found after using this products my skin felt soft and looked a bit brighter. It recommends using the mask 2 to 3 times per week to get the best results. As it contains and AHA it can increase your skins sensitivity to the sun meaning that SPF is a must. Although I liked it I wouldn’t say that it’s the best Glycolic acid product that I’ve tried but it makes a cheaper alternative to Rodial’s Super Acids. You can pick it up in Superdrug for £5.99 (it’s currently on offer for £2.95).
