Bloggers seem to love and rave about the Real Techniques brushes and I am shocked to admit that this is the first one that I’ve tried! After using it, it is easy to see why the brushes are so loved especially this one. The main reason that I bought this is that I had read that it was perfect for applying cream blushes, and I thought that this would be perfect for using with my new Illamasqua blush that I picked up in their sale (I’ll be talking about this during the week).
This stippling brush has duo fibre bristles which are densely packed in order to help to achieve a flawless look. The bristles are also synthetic and cruelty free. The handle of the brush is a lovely shade of pink which corresponds to their finishing range of brushes within the Real Techniques collection. I really like the fact the brushes are all colour co-ordinated as it makes it easy to know which brush is for what at a glance. The stippling brush has a flat bottom meaning that it can stand up by itself which is perfect for when you’re not using it.
I’ve used this blush for cream blushers, cc creams and liquid foundations. I really couldn’t believe how well it applied them all. You can also use this brush to apply powder, which I haven’t tried yet but I’m assuming that it will apply just as well as everything else. This brush makes it really easy to blend the products to achieve an almost natural finish. This stippling brush is great at picking up the right amount of products and not soaking it up like some foundation brushes that I’ve tried.
I found that this brush washes really well and that none of the bristles shed when doing so which can sometimes be the case, especially with drugstore priced brushes. You can pick up the Real Techniques Stippling Brush in Boots and Superdrug for £11.99 or on Amazon for a slightly cheaper price of £8.99.
Have you tried any of the other brushes in the Real Techniques collection? Is there any that you would recommend that I pick up next?
