Pixi Glow Tonic seems to be everywhere at the moment, I think just about every blogger owns this or is talking about it. I got this in my Marks and Spencer’s Beauty advent calendar, which I really hope they do again this year as it had so many great products, you can see some here.
Pixi Glow Tonic is described as being an exfoliating toner, which aims to tone, firm and tighten the skin. With the use of glycolic acid it helps to exfoliate, removing dead skin cells to give your skin a gorgeous glow. The glow tonic also contains aloe vera and ginseng which helps the product to be gentle on skin as well as toning and brightening the skin too. There is also no alcohol in it and is therefore suitable for all skin types. It is gentle enough to use on skin both morning and night, and with it being quick and easy to use it’s easy to add into your skincare routine.
I have to admit that I was sceptical at first and I wasn’t sure that this was going to live up to the hype but it did! I found that after a week or two of using this on my skin it not only looked brighter and more even in tone but also that any dry areas I had were completely gone. I feel like my skin looks much healthier than it did before. It’s so easy to use just apply to a cotton pad and wipe over your skin so there is not excuse to use it. I have to admit I have a tendency to not use products that take too much time to apply or have to be left on for a certain length of time. I found that this product doesn’t leave skin feeling tight and dry afterwards like some exfoliating products can. One thing to note is that although you should always wear SPF it is important to use it with this product as it contains glycolic acid. This is because it takes the dead skin cells off the top layer of skin and can make you skin more susceptible to burning in the sun.
This is slightly smaller than the regular size which is £18.00 for 250mls – the one featured here is 100mls. I will definitely be picking up the full sized version once I finish this one! You can pick up Pixi Glow Tonic on their website, Marks and Spencer and Look Fantastic.
Have you tried Pixi’s Glow Tonic, if you have what did you think? Or would you recommend another toner/exfoliator?
