Physicians Formula Fake Out Mascara

A couple of months back my boyfriend’s parents took a trip to America. His mum kindly asked if there was anything that I wanted and of course, loving make-up I had to ask for some that are a little hard to get here. One of the brands that I really wanted to try was Physicians Formula as whenever I had seen reviews of their products they tended to be positive and the products always looked amazing.

Their Fake Out mascara has possibly become my most used mascara lately; perhaps even more loved than my CoverGirl Clump Crusher. I don’t know about you but I love the packaging of this mascara, its bright pink, slightly flat and curvy in shape meaning that it really stands out from the rest.

The brush is quite thick which does have a slight downside as I usually end up with some mascara on my eyelids next to my lashes. This is the only mascara that I use that does this and it can be slightly annoying especially if you’re in a rush.

The mascara claims to add volume, length and curl. I wouldn’t say that it helps to add a lot of curl my lashes but I do feel that it makes them appear longer and thicker. As you can see in the pictures below my lashes look quite short and lack volume, but look fuller, longer and slightly more curled with two coats of mascara.

It lasts well throughout the day and I never feel like I need to apply more. I find that it is really easy to take off at night with a simple swipe of micellar water. Also if you’re prone to forgetting that you’re wearing mascara and rub your eyes, I do this quite often, it thankfully doesn’t smudge all over your eyes and hands.

Have you tried Physicians Formula Fake Out Mascara?  If you have what did you think of it?

I’ll have a new post up on Thursday which will be really different from my usual posts! After taking a bit of a break from blogging I have quite a few new ideas and have decided to branch out a little and hope to add more lifestyle based post (which hopefully you’ll enjoy!).
