I was in Boots buying a foundation for my mum when the lovely girl at the No7 counter informed me that it was but one get one half price on No7 cosmetics, so it would have been rude not to treat myself, right? I decided that I wanted to give their CC cream a try as I was going to buy one from another brand but thought I’d give this one a try instead.
No7 CC cream comes in two shades Fair and Medium. I went for Fair as it looks like a closer match. This CC cream has SPF 15 and has a 5 star UVA rating. It claims to be a simple 1 step way of achieving a flawless, younger looking complexion with a natural make-up look. I didn’t buy this for the anti-ageing stuff on the product and don’t feel that I’m able to fully comment on it, although it does claim that fine lines can appear reduced within 4 weeks of use. I find that it does create really natural look when it is on, my mum didn’t even think I was wearing it when I asked what she thought! It has quite a thick consistency which I like as I always think that slightly thicker products are easier to apply. I find that it helps to cover redness, illuminate skin and provide a light coverage. Even though the consistency is rather thick I felt that it was really light on the skin.
I took other foundations with me on both of my holidays (Spain and Scotland) but this was the only one that I used. I found that it is easily blended with a foundation brush or with fingertips. I have to admit that I prefer using a brush but had no problems achieving a flawless look with just fingers, so perfect if you feel that you need to top it up on the go or want to apply after the gym ect. I find that this is the perfect base for summer, although it’s almost over, I will definitely be using it through autumn and winter too.
Before and after
I would definitely recommend this CC cream and will be buying it again when this tube runs out. I think if you’re looking for a CC cream with light coverage that helps to illuminate the skin then I would recommend that you give this ago. No7 CC Cream can be purchased here from Boot.com or in Boots stores.
Have you tried No7 Youthful CC Cream? If you have, what did you think? Are there any other CC creams that you recommend that I try?
