Mac Lipstick in Plumful

This is the first Mac lipstick that I’ve ever owned, is that shocking for a beauty blogger? It seems like every beauty blogger has at least one Mac lipstick and now I’ve joined the club. I won this in the giveaway by Gemma at Lipstick and Lashes. The shade that she chose to giveaway was Plumful; which I think was an excellent choice.

I love the packaging of Mac lipsticks, although this is the first that I’ve owned myself I have bought some previously as presents. The bullet is black but has a shimmery silver through it which I think makes it look so pretty.

Plumful is part of the Mac Lustre range and although it looks really quite dark in the packaging but is actually a gorgeous pink/purple colour. It’s definitely a colour that looks almost natural and doesn’t look too bold. I think that Plumful would suit most skin tones as it appears to quite a natural shade and from what I’ve seen on other blogs it seems to look good on everyone, although slightly different too. As it is part of the Mac lustre range it creates a lovely shine on the lips and although quite pigmented is a little sheer too but it is definitely buildable.

I find that it lasts around 4 hours and wears off evenly during this time. I think that it’s the perfect everyday lipstick. As it’s not too bold a lipstick I think it looks great paired with more dramatic eye makeup. To me this is a great lipstick and it has certainly tempted me to buy more Mac lipsticks, which I think I might do as I’m passing through the duty free at the end of the month 🙂

Do you have any recommendations for my next Mac lipstick? What is your favourite? Have you tried Plumful; if you have what did you think of it?
