I’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t had a chance to post anything but hopefully now I’ll be able to fit blogging around work. A few months ago I was lucky enough to win an Estee Lauder lipstick in a blog competition. This is the first Estee Lauder product that I’ve tried and I’m pretty sure that it will not be the last!
The Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Shine Lipsticks are available in 16 shades. I love the sleek packaging of these lipsticks, the dark metallic blue with gold finishings gives it a real high end feel. The top is secured by a magnet so you never have to worry about the top coming off when it’s in your bag.
I won the shade Innocent which is a gorgeous peachy colour which I feel is a perfect nude toned lipstick. The colour is perfect if you’re going for a strong eye look or if you just want to have a ‘natural’ make-up look.
The lipsticks claim to illuminate due to the small particles of glitter which can be seen on the lipstick if looked at closely. They also claim that the lipsticks have a time release moisture complex which helps to keep lips hydrated. I found that when applied the lipstick created a glossy finish whist being creamy. I did find however that due to having a creamy texture that it had a tendency to cling to any dry areas so you definitely need to exfoliate before applying! I did find it to be quiet moisturing although I was slightly disappointed with the wear time as I found the lipstick to wear off after a few of hours even without eating or drinking.
I would definitely try the Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Sculpting Shine Lipsticks again although I think next time I would probably go for a bolder colour as I tend to prefer brighter lipsticks. The range has a great choice of shades and can be found at Debenhams, House of Fraser, John Lewis and Boots for £25.
