I saw these in one of the Avon magazines and it said last chance to buy so I thought I’d give them a go. I can’t remember how much I bought them for as it was a month or two ago but I’m sure they were £4 or less. I choose Pink Bling which is a gorgeous medium pink shade with little sliver sparkly dots.
I found that there from the 18 nail wraps provided there were ten that fitted perfectly and I’m sure that there would be sizes to suit everyone. When taking these of the backing sheet I found that the wraps themselves felt quite thin. I found that most applied quite well but a couple had a wrinkle or two at the side (the left thumb nail, right thumb and right middle). I applied them at night so I decided to wait until the next day to take pictures. I found that after having washed my hands a few times and reading a book, a few of them had actually started to lift. By the next morning after having gone for a shower and having breakfast this is what they looked like. Even the wraps that had been perfectly applied had begun to wrinkle and lift off at the sides. Now I don’t know about you but when I apply nail wraps I expect them to last a few days at least. I really wish that I had taken pictures the night that I had applied them so that the difference in them could really be seen. I’ve tried a few different nail wraps by different brands and I would recommend Girls with Attitude’s nail wraps; you can read my thoughts on them here.
I recently got another Avon magazine where these are featured along with some new designs and toe wraps at full price. I have to admit that I am so glad that I purchased these at a reduced price as I would be absolutely gutted if I’d paid full price for these and they didn’t even last 24 hours. I put these on as I was going out for a meal the next day and thought that it would save me some time if I applied them the day before but I ended up having to take them off and apply some nail varnish instead.
Since they’ve been reintroduced to the magazine I’m not sure if they’ve changed them in any way but I certainly wouldn’t be buying them again. If you’re looking for some nail wraps then I would recommend giving the Avon ones a miss and getting some of the Girls with Attitude ones as they were much easier to apply, were slightly thicker, lasted longer and are half the price of the Avon ones.
Have you tried the Avon Nail Wraps? If you have what did you think of them? And what other nail wraps would you recommend trying?
