I genuinely can’t believe how long it’s taken me to getting round to trying Avene and I really wish that I’d tried the brand a lot sooner.
I have combination skin and can really struggle to find a moisturiser that works well for me. I often find that they’re either not hydrating enough or they’re too thick and creamy leaving my skin looking greasy. So when I was on the hunt for a new moisturiser I thought that Avene’s Hydrance Optimale Light looked perfect.
Avene’s Hydrance Optimale Light is recommended for normal to combination skin. They say:
Rich in Avène Thermal Spring Water, soothing, softening, it wraps your skin in a veil of softness.
The cream is a little runny and a little goes a long way. It has a very light texture and is quickly absorbed into skin. I really love this about it because let’s be honest, who really wants to be waiting ages for their moisturiser to sink in? After using this my skin feels soft and hydrated and it’s banished any dry patches I had. The moisturiser also contains sebo-absorbing microspheres which help to absorb excess oil and give skin a matte finish. With added SPF 20 it helps to protect skin against sun damage too.
If you’ve got dry to very dry skin then you’d probably be better suited to Avene Hydrance Optimale Rich.
Boots currently have this on offer for less than £10.12 (normally £13.50)and Escentual have up to a third off all French pharmacy products until the end of July.
